Turnaround Time

The turn around time on your order with Jute and Flax, LLC starts when you’ve paid in full, we have all information required to complete your order (all artwork, correct tag files, all fonts required for editable tags, all shipping info, etc.) & your mock-ups have been approved. Delay in receipt of any of this info could result in production delays. Most mock-ups are sent within 24 hours, after receiving payment, and all necessary information. Our turnaround time is up to approximately 18-22 Business Days Average + Shipping. Complex orders or add-ons may increase turnaround time. Delay in approval of mock-ups could also result in production delays. Each finishing service (printed tags, labels stickers etc.) will add extra time to the turn around on orders, adding roughly 2 days per extra finish to the turn around time. The most up-to-date turnaround time will be listed on your quote and invoice.

If you have a deadline for your order, please let us know when placing your order, a rush fee may apply if there is not enough time to complete your order under normal circumstances. If we are not advised of a due date until after your order has been paid for and pushed through our system, we may not be able to accommodate your rush request. Any circumstances out of Jute & Flax's control (i.e., weather delays, shipping errors by the supplier, etc.) may also require more time and are not factored into the initial turn around time estimate.

TURNAROUND TIMES ARE NOT GUARANTEED

Payment/Billing Terms

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PRE-PAID UNLESS AUTHORIZED. Payment options and instructions will be listed on your invoice. Orders must be paid in full before the order begins unless otherwise approved by Jute and Flax, LLC. If you pay via check, the turn around timing on your order will not begin until your check clears. Prices on quotes and unpaid invoices are valid for 30 days.

Example: YourBiz, Inc. emails Jute and Flax, LLC about placing a Shirt order. Jute and Flax, LLC sends YourBiz a quote. YourBiz approves the quote and Jute and Flax, LLC sends an Invoice. YourBiz waits 4 weeks, then pays for the order. Once your payment is received and cleared, Jute & Flax begins the turn around schedule.

Artwork

All files must be 300dpi or vector format (transparent background), png, SVG, gif, or Jpeg, ai, psd, pdf with Jute & Flax design approval, as this is a design service and may be charged as such. The design should be sized to the size you would like it to print, however at Jute & Flax, LLC we understand that everyone does not have access to design tools, that is no problem! Our pricing includes 30 minutes of design prep to help you out. Printing can only be as good as the artwork. Jute & Flax will not be responsible for poor quality printing due to poor artwork. Jute and Flax, LLC is not responsible for any misspellings, errors, or issues in your art file. We do our best to catch these errors and point them out to you, but we may not catch them all. If it is in your art file and on your approval, that is how we will print it. Note: The colors shown on the approval are a close representation, but may not an exact match to the actual printing colors.

Custom designs may have additional art charges based upon the complexity of the design. Once a design is printed, art cannot be changed or edited. A customer order will not be processed unless art has been approval approved by customer. If a custom design is sent for approval and never used, Jute & Flax art is billed at $60.00 per hour. Jute & Flax owns the rights to all its designs and processes that use the art. Jute & Flax does not release any art to a customer.

Design Help

Each order includes 30 minute of design prep. If any additional time is required, we charge a $60 per hour design fee, we charge by the minute. We will notify you before processing your order if your artwork requires additional work.

Art Approval | Proofing

We send a digital mock-up via email with every order and require that you approve them before we send your job to print. This is to ensure that the finished product matches your expectations — we want that! The digital proof is Jute & Flax's blueprint for printing your products. We use proofs to specify the following:

Our digital proofs are usually pretty accurate however the templates we use do not account for every possible item style we procure from various manufacturers. All artwork is to be approved by you via email. Artwork must be checked for spelling, color, sizes ordered, placement of the art, and accuracy of artwork by the customer. It is very important to look over every detail of the mock-up, as this is how your product may print. Jute and Flax, LLC will not accept responsibility for corrections not implemented and/or requested after your artwork approval. Any modifications requested after customer approval will result in production delays and you may incur additional expenses. Any delays in the approval process longer than 24 hours after you've received the mock-up could result in production delays.

Garment Sizing

Adult size art designs may not fit on youth garments as well as youth size art designs will not properly fit on adult size garments. Jute & Flax, LLC will use your included 30 minute of design prep to adjust your designs to properly fit your products. If any additional time is required, we charge a $60 per hour design fee by the minute. We will notify you before processing your order if your artwork requires additional work. Once a garment is printed or personalized the garment is not returnable.

Print Sizing

Sizing is approximate and based on the max print size for the largest size in the category. Sizing varies by brand and may vary by unit. More information on print sizing for adult shirts can be found on our Quote page.

**NOTE: All Front and Back designs are printed approximately 2.25” down from the bottom of the front collar. This may very based on design.

Sizing for non-apparel products will be included on you quote.

Max Imprint Sizes

Please note that not all products are manufactured exactly the same. Set dimensions are to be used for reference as a "safe" zone to avoid printing on any seams or edges. More information may be included in your quote.

NOTE: Any print that goes over a seam can result in imperfections (see below) in the print. Which can be visually interesting, if that's the design look you’re going for.

Collar, Seam, Hoodie Printing

Although Jute and Flax, LLC checks for potential issues, inconsistencies may occur when printing near or over the collar, seams, zippers, pockets, any other uneven surfaces or other edges. Any large prints may run the risk of going over the sleeve seam. These are all considered acceptable prints and will not be considered for reprints. Jute & Flax will not be responsible for these inconsistencies.

This means symbols, terms, names of a businesses, logos, slogans, and/or other original creative works such as; paintings, books, movies, songs, web content, images of characters, celebrities and any figure that resembles them, including cartoons, comics, memes, video games, movies, shows, etc. We will only use images or graphics that are royalty free and/or clearly marked as "free for commercial usage", quotes from authors who passed away more than 70 years ago. Must-Have Dates

Jute and Flax, LLC will do everything we can to meet any must-have date, but we cannot guarantee this service. Rush fees may apply. Customer may be responsible for any expedited shipping charges associated with the order.

Out of Stock Items

Jute and Flax, LLC is not responsible for items that are out of stock. While we frequently check items we know to have potential stock issues. All products are ordered after your order is placed, and we cannot guarantee their availability.

Substitutions

Jute & Flax reserves the right to replace a garment when needed with a product of the same quality or better. For example a Hanes Heavey Cotton T, is the same quality as a Gildan Heavy Cotton T, if the Hanes are out of stock we may replace it with the Gildan. Jute & Flax, LLC may supply the customer with a list potential replacement products to choose from within the same business day. If we do not receive your new product choice within the same business day it will delay your order, even if you have paid a rush fee and/or have given us a required date. If a customer requests a specific brand, customer must state brand at the time of ordering.

Changes to Your Order After Payment

Any change made to your order that is not due to a stock issue on behalf of the stock suppliers, will be subject to a change fee of $30.00 in addition to the additional costs to make the changes. Any changes to your order, after it has been placed will delay your order, even if you have paid a rush fee and/or have given us a required date. Please do not place your order until you are certain it is what you want. Once the process begins, Jute and Flax, LLC begins work on your order, changes become costly and time consuming.

Example: YourBiz, Inc. places an order for 100 Bella+Canvas 3001 shirts in Black. Jute & Flax then orders the shirts to prepare for printing. Two days later, YourBiz, Inc wants to change the order to now print on 100 Bella+Canvas 3001 White tees. Jute and Flax, LLC has to re-write the order and ship the black shirts back to the supplier (paying a restocking fee + shipping costs) and then also paying to have new shirts out.

Cancellations & Restocking Fees

Cancellations made after order has been placed will be subject to a 15% restocking fee plus any additional fees required to cover services rendered. No cancellations will be accepted once production or any manipulation of the product (pre-treatment, cutting, prepping) has begun on the order.

Example: YourBiz, Inc. places an order for 99 water bottles. Jute & Flax then orders the water bottles to prepare for printing. Two days later, YourBiz, Inc. needs to cancel the order (for any reason). Jute and Flax, LLC has to return the water bottles to the manufacturer, incurring shipping fees and restocking fees. Jute & Flax refunds YourBiz, Inc. for their order minus necessary cancellation fees. Other expenses such as art and shipping may be billed to the customer.

Shipping

Jute and Flax, LLC cannot be responsible for any shipping delays caused by the shipping company.

Examples: USPS cannot deliver your package on time due to inclement weather. USPS delivers your package to the wrong address, although they've been provided the correct address, and you do not receive your products on time.

Pricing

Jute & Flax reserves the right to change pricing without notice. Your Jute & Flax quote and unpaid invoice will expire after 30 days. Jute & Flax, LLC will draft a new quote at the customers request, to match any changes to manufacturing prices.

Example: YourBiz, Inc. looks at the pricing on Jute & Flax's website on Wednesday. On Thursday, Jute and Flax, LLC changes the pricing on their website due to rising product cost. Later that day, YourBiz, Inc. contacts Jute and Flax, LLC unaware that the prices have changed since the day before. YourBiz, Inc. places an order and is charged the most up-to-date pricing.

Printing Measurements

Even though we at Jute and Flax, LLC are experienced printers, unfortunately there is no way to effectively and efficiently measure every item as each product is loaded onto the press by hand. For example, if you request a print that is 2” down from the collar, we will use that as a guide and do our best to make sure that all shirts meet their mark. All prints will not hit their measurements exactly, they may be off by as much as an inch in either direction. This will not be considered a misprint and Jute & Flax will not reprint or refund these shirts.

Satisfaction Clause / Blank Samples

Jute and Flax, LLC will not be responsible for your satisfaction with the items printed on or the printed artwork. We are always available to counsel any customer to ensure you pick a product that matches your needs but we also need you to do your due diligence on the product choice. If you are unsure of what product to select, we can gladly order a number of blank samples for you to choose from. The samples will be billed at a per piece rate and shipped without printing. Blank samples will not be a credit to the cost of your order.

Quality Assurance

We try to check every item as it comes off of the press, but there are times where some mistakes will make it out the door. It is your responsibility as the customer to check over items as you receive them. We allow an industry standard 72 hour window from the time you receive the goods to notify us of any issues with the order. Jute and Flax, LLC will not be responsible for errors with your order if notified after 72 hours of receiving the goods. Jute and Flax, LLC also will not be responsible for any lost income, customers, accounts, and/or contracts if defective items are sent out to your final customer. While Jute & Flax does quality checks on the items, the final quality assurance check lies with you.

Claims & Reprints

We go to great lengths to try to ensure that every order that leaves our studio is correct. All of our customers are valued customers. All claims must be submitted within 72 hours of date of delivery. Please email printing@juteNflax.com to submit your claim. If Jute and Flax, LLC is responsible for any errors in your order, we accept full responsibility for the issues and will reprint the items printed in error. We do not offer refunds, but will gladly reprint any production errors that exceed the spoilage rate. Jute & Flax, LLC will close quality claims 30 days from the time you received your goods.. Jute & Flax will not be responsible for any items sold or given away prior to returning the order.

Example: If you order 30 shirts, sold 5 and then discover a print defect and only return 25 shirts to Jute & Flax, we are only responsible for the reprinting of the remaining 25 shirts.

Spoilage

Spoilage in the work of custom printing, and costume decoration is an unfortunate, but common occurrence. Spoilage due to problems with the garment manufacturer / supplier or production error due to which any garment item falls below the acceptable quality standard. There are two types of error / spoilage:

Industrial quality has a deterioration / spoilage rate of about 3% – meaning that 3 out of every 100 garments ordered will be damaged in some way during the production (printing and decorating) process. This is an acceptable margin of error / spoilage that exists in the custom clothing industry. This 3% spoilage rate, 2 out of 50 hoodies, falls within the allowable spoilage rate, you will get 48 hoodies. 2% of 50 is 1.5. There are no half hoodies or shirt, so we count 2 hoodies in the case of a .5 product.

In case of malfunction / spoilage, if the spoilage rate is higher than the allowable rate of 3%. Most of the time, you won’t know it happened because we replace anything in the clothing that is beyond the 3% limit. However, there are some jobs that require a lot of hard work to reprint. In that case, we will refund the value of the damaged product(s) (top of 3% only).

Example: The spoilage rate for an order of 100 hoodies is 5%. We would reprint the cost of 2 hoodies.

Example: The spoilage rate for ordering 50 T-shirts is 5%. We would reprint the price of 1 T-shirt.

Please order your quantities accordingly.

Garment Disclaimer

Jute and Flax, LLC is not responsible for manufacturer defects such as color or shape inconsistencies, stitching errors, mislabeled garments, loose/inconsistent stitching, and/or garment defects (holes in garments, ripped seams, etc.). We try our hardest to inspect the items as we print them, but we cannot guarantee each item. We are not the manufacturers of these items, so we cannot ensure their construction. We highly recommend ordering 5% extra of each item if an exact count is important.

Some manufacturers over-dye their garments. Over-dying is the process of re-dying a garment after it's initial manufacturing period. This is done for any number of reasons, including color correction, clearing out of colors that didn't sell (blue shirts aren't selling so the manufacturer dyes them black to sell them as black shirts), etc. Due to this factor, Jute & Flax cannot 100% guarantee exact color consistency on coloring with discharge printing or discharge based services (Premium Standard). This is most noticeable on white designed prints (showing a slight off-white tinge), but can sometimes be seen with other colors.

Supplied Garments

Jute & Flax will print supplied garments on a case per case basis. Jute & Flax will not accept responsibility for replacement of the garment if damage occurs during our production, as well as washing/drying, etc. If Supplied garments need to be shipped customer will be billed for shipping.

Holidays

Jute and Flax, LLC is family owned and operated, and just like you we like to spend the holidays with our kids, family, and friends. Therefore we are closed for the following holidays. These days are not to be considered operational business days and will not count towards turn around time:
